About the Awards

Launched in 2011, The Leaders to be Proud of Awards are an annual series to recognize excellence by senior executives of the Canadian lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer and ally (LGBTQA) business community. With the purpose of celebrating the leadership and accomplishment of the most successful business leaders in the Canadian LGBTQA community, the exceptional candidates within their respective category, will be highlighted as role-models of Out on Bay Street.

The Leaders to be Proud of Awards are a joint initiative of Out on Bay Street and Deloitte. Out on Bay Street is a non-profit organization which supports Canada’s LGBTQA students by increasing the awareness of Canada’s professional LGBTQA community through various initiatives and increasing exposure to successful business leaders. Deloitte is Canada’s largest professional services firm and one of Canada’s Best Employers of Diversity in 2011.
